Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was in his early college days. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and on television however, it's his actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. It is no surprise that the actor has managed to grab audiences' attention by playing characters on both one side of the law. The first show he worked on was a TV serial but he later played an officer for the NYPD. He has been nominated multiple times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances. The actor is famous for his blue piercing eyes that have been a signature and helped portray tough characters with charisma. The actor was featured on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
